My Year of Plenty
My theme for this year is success, both financially and in making a profound difference in life and business.
Last week, I asked a number of questions. This week I answered them for myself. How I want to feel at the end of this year is successful, happy, and fulfilled. What will help me achieve this is bringing the possibility of success, happiness and fulfilment to my life. Now, I know this sounds like mental gymnastics, but bear with me a few minutes and I think it will make sense.
One of the principles I've adopted in the past year is that I am the average of the people I spend the most time with. So I joined a new mastermind and am spending time around people who are creating, taking risks, rolling with the punches, enjoying themselves doing it, and in many cases earning a great living. They are living inside of what I want for myself this year, and the more time I spend with them, the easier it is to see myself as one of them. And while I might not have the successes under my belt that some of them have, we are all starting down a new path together, and we are making a difference in each other's lives and businesses.
I am making big promises and have a solid plan and vision for my business. I am sharing it in a context where people see it as possible, and sometimes even inspired, and now I start to see myself as being what I have set out to be.
But as success, happiness, and fulfillment are not countable nouns, I've set some specific measurable results to keep me honest. So, by the end of 2015, what I will have is:
- $20,000 a month in income from my coaching practice,
- $20,000 a month from consulting services in the area of optimizing websites for driving business,
- $20,000 a month on other projects, likely eProducts and recurring income from joint ventures and affiliate marketing.
- I'd like to be known as a candidate for President of the United States by the end of the year, either as a Republican or as the driving force behind a new party. How I intend to do this is by giving value as a candidate. I figure promises are worthless. If I can give people happiness and satisfaction in life, a means to get their financial houses in control, and not only hope, but a realistic vision for their future, I just might be able to get their confidence on the policy side and their vote. As a coach, this is just a matter of getting the word out.
What I really want is to be crazy efficient this year. I want to spend the bulk of my time doing the stuff that makes the most difference. And that means letting go of the rest. I know that what I have is a high value proposition. And every minute I spend on something else is a minute that isn't adding to my business. For this, I'll hire the people or services that get me what I need but isn't worth my personal time. And as I start having more responsibilities toward others, I'll end up being more responsible myself.
So that's where I am at the moment, and my efforts on this blog will take a hit as a consequence. And that's okay. I can only contribute so much, and I am super excited by the path I'm travelling now.
I'll end with an invite. Take a look for yourself. Where do you add the most value? What do you need to let go of to bring that to the world? And maybe consider that your value proposition has value for others . . . and if you want to explore that with me, just reach out. I'd be tickled to take a look with you.
I promise this will be my Year of Plenty. There's no reason it can't be that for you.
